Pyramid Overview:
The Cloud Enablement team builds and operates the foundational public cloud platform that engineering teams across Target rely on to deliver at enterprise scale. Working primarily on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the team owns a hardened, standardized cloud foundation spanning compute, Kubernetes, storage, networking, and identity — the core building blocks that power Target's digital and data-driven experiences. Our mission is to make cloud simple, secure, and cost-effective to consume: we design the opinionated patterns, policies, and guardrails that keep workloads safe and reliable, and we build the APIs, automation, and self-service tooling that let teams adopt and scale cloud services with confidence. Following an infrastructure-as-code philosophy, we treat repeatability, resilience, and security as first-class engineering outcomes rather than afterthoughts. We partner closely with platform and product teams to onboard new workloads, drive cloud cost stewardship, and continuously raise the bar on operational excellence, availability, and readiness for our highest-traffic events. As a lead engineer on this team, you'll help shape cloud strategy, architect platform capabilities and tooling, and set technical direction that multiplies the productivity of engineers across the company — a high-impact role at the center of how Target builds in the cloud.
