How we verify

What every badge on a job means, and what it doesn’t. We would rather show a date than a word like “verified”.

1. Only from the company

Listings come from employers’ own career sites and the public job boards their applicant tracking systems publish (for example Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, amazon.jobs and IBM Careers). We read them without logging in, solve no CAPTCHAs, follow each site’s robots.txt and stay within its terms. Sites that don’t allow it are left out, even big recruiters. Each job page shows the source domain, and the Apply button goes straight to the employer.

2. Checked live today

  • In the employer’s feed. Collection runs every two hours. Each run records that the job was still listed by its source.
  • The apply page itself. Once a day we open every open job’s apply page (at most one request per second per site). If the page is gone (HTTP 404 or 410), redirects to an error page, or says the job is closed, we close the job automatically, remove it from search and tell search engines.
  • “Checked today” means one of those checks succeeded today, India time; the badge shows the time. It is not a promise the vacancy is open: an employer can fill a role before taking the page down.

3. Batch, degree, pay and deadline: only what the employer says

We read the employer’s own text for graduation batches (2024 to 2028 and others), degrees (B.E/B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc, B.Com, “any degree” and more), stated pay and a stated last date. Each one is shown with the words we read it from. When a job doesn’t say, we write “Not disclosed” or “Not stated”. We never estimate a salary or a deadline.

4. Scam-risk score

Every job gets a 0 to 100 score from the same rules as our scam check: whether the apply link is on the employer’s domain or a known hiring system, and whether the text asks for money, promises a job without interviews, offers pay that is too good to be true, uses a personal email address or pushes you to hurry. Low is good. The reasons are listed on the job page.

5. What we don’t do

  • No sponsored or paid listings, and no fees. See our No-fee pledge.
  • No reposts from other job sites, Telegram groups or WhatsApp forwards.
  • No invented numbers: counts on the site are live counts from our database.
